Now former Ambassador Taub’s accomplishments in Britain were not limited to trade. Academic and cultural connections between Isreal and Britain became stronger. He also acted as an envoy to Northern Ireland.

A British citizen by birth Daniel Taub assumed the role of Isreal’s top diplomat to the Court of Saint James’s in 2011. An Orthodox Jew he immigrated to Isreal in 1989.

In August of 2014 anti-Semitism on British College Campuses came to the fore. The country’s largest student union decided to boycott Isreal. The vote called for a boycott of and abolishing ties with Isreal. The resolution cleared the way for anti-Isreali activities on college campuses.

In a similar move, the city of Bradford was declared an “Isreal-free zone” by that city’s Representative to Parliament George Galloway. An expert in International Law Daniel Taub holds degrees from both Oxford and Harvard Universities. He started out as a combat medic with the Isreali Defense Force. He would later become a reserve officer with the IDF.
