Having logo, it is then time to design corporate identity and the website, which would all help you brand the logo and visually tell your customers they are dealing with your unique company, not the competitors.

how a good logo is developed

Briefly, the professional logo design process consists of studying your niche, doing lots of rough sketches on a paper, experimenting with the leading concept and digital logo versions creation on a computer. The steps are detailed below:

1) studying your niche, theme and style. We learn about your niche by seeing your website (if there is any), your competitor sites, we look for more information on the internet. The data that we collect on the internet and your filled form helps us have a broad idea of  how the logo should look like and what message to convey.

2) doing lots of logo sketches on paper. After having enough informatiom, the work on a paper begins.  Dozens of rough sketches are drawn at this stage and many unsuitable ideas are scrapped. The good ones are developed further, then we make breaks and do the brainstorming again. That helps to come up with absolutely marvellous solutions.

3) digital logotype version creation. We draw a digital version based on a logo on a paper. The experiments do not end here, the logo is modified again and the games with the colors, positioning and shapes begin. The number of combinations can be enormous but it is designer’s task to know what matches and makes the logo good. So, after some tests, the final drafts are sent to the customer.

4) customer’s reply:

a) the client is happy with the design and requires no changes

b) comments the logo and we do changes until he is happy with the logo.Usually it’s 1 and sometimes – 3 revision rounds.

c) the client would like to see more ideas so we repeat the whole process, pay a close attention again and complete the order!

To sum up, the logo that the client receives is a result of lots of work. Although the logo might look very simple, there is a lot of hidden work that the customer might not see. All what matters, your logo is top quality, conveys the right message to the customers and is absolutely ready to use!

It is also good when customer gives some samples of logos that he likes and expects to receive. That helps to understand better what the customer requires. And we all know that each customer is different so giving examples of logos he likes is a huge advantage for him too. Remember: it is not to copy the logo, it is just to make a professional logo that is closer to what the customers needs.

2) doing a lot of rough logo sketches on paper. Regarding to the given logo examples and studies of the niche, the work on a paper begins and a lot of rough sketches are made on it. That helps to come up with different ideas and when there is at least 1 very good concept, it is developed further untill it looks good.

3) digital logotype version is made with some more slightly different versions. The experiments do not end on the paper. During the digital professional logo version creation, the logotype is modified again and the games with the colors, positioning and shapes begin.
